The eyeshadow palette I can’t stop wearing

The palette I can’t stop wearing 🎨

I picked up the Ilia warm nude eyeshadow palette earlier this year after falling in love with the soft nude and gold tones. The shades are gorgeous, easy to blend and wear everyday, plus you can feel good that’s it’s made with good clean ingredients 🥰

Love how easy it is to take a look from day to night. The colors are subtle enough for work, and you can intensify the look by adding a metallic shade, or go full on smoky eye look with the rich warm brown shade (bottom right!).

I picked mine up from Sephora, watch out for their sale starting this Friday!

White Sneaker Breakdown

Zimmermann, Low Top Retro Sneakers

Zimmermann, Low Top Retro Sneakers

I love a good pair of white sneakers, but was lacking a pair I could wear rain or shine, so I started my hunt! I immediately knew I wanted to try a pair of the APL TechLoom Breezes. I’ve heard so many good things and absolutely love the style. Sadly they turned out to be more fabric-y then I was going for… but I’d definitely look into them again in the warmer months! I also tried a pair from Nike, the React Art3mis Sneaker. These were a close second, so fun and extremely comfortable, but just ended up wanting a more classic style. The New Balance 996 Classic Sneakers were cute too - a little more old school, with neutral and suede details.

The Ibiza Platform Sneakers had also been on my radar for awhile, and while they were comfortable, I wasn’t sure about a platform style for everyday wear. I ended up landing on the Low Top Retro Sneakers from Zimmermann. I love the classic design, they’re extremely comfortable, and because they’re leather, I’m not afraid to get them a little dirty!

10 Favorites From the Studio McGee x Threshold Collection

Cass and I were getting a little stir crazy after not having left the house for what feels like weeks! We ended up at Target to pick up a few essentials and browse around. Luckily they had just refreshed their home section for the new year - naturally I had to take a peek!

I was so excited to see the new Studio McGee x Threshold collection, they have such great designs at a fantastic price point! We picked up a new table lamp (pictured above), with a light wood base and white shade. We also scored a beautiful patterned rug for our kitchen area… both are so cute! Sadly, it’s seems the new collection isn’t available online yet, but check your local in-stores! For now, sharing a few other pieces from her collections I love.

* Update, the new collection is now available online! Sharing what I picked up and more below.

What I've Picked Up This Holiday Season

Holiday temptations… With all the amazing sales happening over the last few weeks, I couldn’t help but slip a few things into my basket for myself - I thought it’d be fun to share a few items of note! All of which would make great presents if you’re still on the hunt.

Glossier had a great Black Friday sale, 25% off site-wide. I finally got my hands on FutureDew which I tried for the first time this morning and my gosh, it’s amazing! The glow factor is real, it reminds me of a more liquidy version of Weleda Skin Food. I also picked up Cloud Paint in Dusk, the Milky Jelly Cleanser (I’ve heard great things), Boy Brow and the Stretch Concealer which I’m dying to try! Glossier is truly the natural makeup lover’s dream.

I picked up this cozy knit shirt from And Other Stories last week, and it is beyond comfortable. It’s like a thick knit shirt that you just want to snuggle up in. They had two colors, I went with the cream, but ended up ordering the beige one too once the other one arrived in the mail! The quality is amazing, a quick favorite.

I’ve been lusting over this Mango bag for a few months, so finally decided to pull the trigger with their Black Friday sale. I love that it’s shorter, like a belt bag in a classic style. Very excited to start styling this piece!

Have you indulged in any holiday sales this season?

2020 Holiday Gift Guides

Can you believe that the holidays are already here? We’ve decided to start decorating the house a little early this year (our tree is now officially up!), and with the sad news of the latest COVID restrictions, it seems as though we won’t be having our typical Thanksgiving this year. I’ll be making a small dinner for my husband and will be seeing family virtually :( and although it’s not ideal, I know it’s responsible. That said, I’m trying to make our house a little more festive this year to get into the holiday spirit! Today I wanted to share a few gift ideas I’ve rounded up thus far, most are from small businesses (trying to support small and local as much as I can!) with some favorites mixed in.

This year I have a coat by the Curated at the top of my wishlist. The Curated is a Scandinavian based company focused on quality, sustainability and honest pricing. I purchased the Classic Coat in shade Bone last winter and completely fell in love with the fabric & style. The fabric is a cashmere - wool blend, (so luxurious!) it quickly became my go-to coat. This year I’ve got the camel shade on my list. I’m asking for a size down, (from small to xs) as they’ve recently extended their size range - bless!

For him… I’m thinking cozy pieces to bundle up with, sprinkling in a few gaming items (this controller was a big hit last year) and some self care items. I found this really cool men’s hat and coat from Bridge and Burn, a local shop that has tons of neat pieces (love their men’s range). This is also a good time to repurchase your man’s moisturizer, shower gel, shampoo bars - etc!

For friends and family, I’m thinking home goods. Everyone is spending more time at home and why not treat yourself - or, let me treat you! I’ve found some really cool home pieces like these oil and vinegar cruets and locally made ceramics that are so cute, can’t wait to gift!

You can find links to each of the gift guides above, I hope you guys enjoy! And if you’re still looking for more ideas, keep an eye on my Pinterest… I’m sure I’ll be adding more over the next month ;)
