My Go-To Drink When I'm Sick: Starbucks Medicine Ball

Whenever I start getting the sniffles nothing sounds better than a medicine ball from Starbucks. There was a point earlier this year when I went to Starbucks 5 days in a row for this drink, so I decided I needed to try a little DIY. I found the recipe online, ran to Target to pick up some supplies, and an hour later I was sipping on a homemade medicine ball at home, (so easy!). Here’s how i make it:

Starbucks Medicine Ball (Honey Citrus Mint Tea)

  • 1 Teavana Jade Citrus Mint green tea bag

  • 1 Teavana Peach Tranquility herbal tea bag

  • 1-2 tablespoons of honey

  • 1/2 hot water

  • 1/2 steamed unsweetened lemonade

Most days I make this in the morning before my commute, and let it steep for about 5 minutes and head out the door. Also, if you don’t have lemonade on hand, you can substitute for a few squeezes of fresh lemon. Such a great way to get in fluids, sip on something warm, and sooth a sore throat during the cold and flu season.
